Better Nature Records “Concert Series,”in partnership with our lead concert photographer Dan Palumbo, presents Jason Isbell at the Paramount on April 7, 2022.

Jason Isbell brought his distinct touch of alt-country to Long Island when he visited the sold-out crowd at The Paramount on Thursday, April 7. After a stellar opening set from Kentucky’s own S.G. Goodman, Mr. Isbell took the stage with his fellow 400 Unit bandmates Amanda Shires (fiddle/vocals) and Sadler Vaden (lead guitar/vocals) to deliver a 17-song set which spanned original songs and covers alike. Although the set was billed under Jason’s name, each of the three musicians had their opportunity to show off their chops, as Amanda took over lead vocals to play her own song, “Parking Lot Pirouette,” and Sadler crooned to Morgan Wade’s “Wilder Days.” This stop at The Paramount comes off the heels of the band’s most recent release “Georgia Blue,” an excellent charity album celebrating Georgia-based artists such as Vic Chestnutt, R.E.M. and Cat Power.
